SCHOOL ASKS PARENTS TO STOP PESTERING JOLIE and PITT

Parents whose children attend the same school as ANGELINA JOLIE and BRAD PITT's adopted son MADDOX have been asked to respect the superstar couple's privacy in a letter.
Officials at the Lycee Francais De New York school want parents to stop pestering Jolie and Pitt for autographs when they drop off and pick up their kids.
The letter, from the school's director of operations Dan Cooke, reads: "Regretfully, I have seen some parents taking pictures, asking for autographs, talking to the media and even shouting at Ms. Jolie and Mr. Pitt for recognition.
"Therefore, in the best interests of the school and safety of your child(ren), I must ask for everyone to please respect the family's privacy and discontinue these practices."
Cooke goes on to make clear that Jolie and Pitt were keen to avoid any disruption: "I want to make you aware that before the first day of school, I met with their security team to discuss the best manner for them to drop off and pick up their son.
"Our foremost goal was to cause the least amount of disruption to the school and to ensure the security of all of our students and families."

Angelina Jolie is finding herself in a storm of controversy after reporters were given a document to sign at the premiere of her new movie "A Mighty Heart." The document demanded that Jolie would not be asked "any questions regarding her personal relationships."
Ironically, the premiere was held to raise money for the organization "Reporters Without Borders," which champions freedom of the press. In the movie, she plays the wife of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
INSIDE EDITION was at the premiere and was not asked to sign the document. In fact, Jolie and Brad Pitt were very open about their lives.
On "The Daily Show," Jolie said she knew nothing about the document, saying, "I didn't put it out there, it was a representative trying to be protective and it shouldn't have happened."

It's yet another jailhouse shakeup for Paris Hilton as the hotel heiress was transferred out of the medical ward at Twin Towers Correctional Facility and brought back to the L.A. County Jail where she tearfully began her sentence. The move is a sign her mental health may be improving
The socialite was put back in handcuffs and moved to the county jail around 11 p.m. Wednesday night. She's now being held in a 12 x 8 foot solitary cell in the century regional detention center's medical wing, away from the other inmates.

Construction workers across the street from the jail made a special "welcome back" sign for Paris Meanwhile more details are emerging about Paris's time in Twin Towers from a just released inmate who says she saw Paris behind bars and said Paris looked "depressed" and "agitated," and was "shaking a lot."

After her brief reassignment to house arrest created an uproar, it seemed Paris was on the verge of a mental meltdown on the way back to jail. But after 6 days in the medical ward, it sounds like the celebutant turned jailbird is on the mend.

Leave it to Paris Hilton to turn her much anticipated release from jail after 23 days into an event that looked more like a Hollywood premiere.
Paris flashed a radiant smile as she was released 15 minutes after midnight early Tuesday morning. Her hair was braided, pulled to one side and she wore a short-sleeved grey jacket with white trim, a white tank top, skinny jeans and white pumps.
Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said any inmate can use the restroom before they are released to apply makeup or change clothes, which explains her "put together" appearance just moments after being released from jail.
As Paris was inside changing for her return back into society, her parents and rarely seen brother, Barron, arrived in a black SUV to take Paris home.
The emotional reunion was recorded for posterity by the crush of cameras and then, with Paris safely in the backseat, she was whisked away.
After Paris's release she arrived at her grandparents Bel Air estate.Now Paris is free to go anywhere she wants, but her brush with the law isn't over, as she's still on probation.

"Real World's" Frankie Dies at 25

Frankie Abernathy -- the punked-out, boat-phobic rock chick of MTV's "Real World: San Diego" fame -- died at the age of 25 on Saturday at her mother's home in Shorewood, Wisc.

Abernathy suffered from cystic fibrosis, though an official cause of death has yet to be determined, according to MTV News. During her stint in the "Real World" house, Frankie exhibited symptoms of cystic fibrosis, such as difficulty breathing and immune-system impairment, and it was a significant part of her storyline on the show.

Frankie had some tumultuous times on the show, and ended up leaving the house before the end of the season.

TMZ has learned Lindsay Lohan has been sued for crashing into a parked van.
The accident happened on October 4, 2005. Lohan had left the Ivy restaurant on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills, driving her jet black Mercedes. She was tearing up Robertson when she struck a vehicle that was making an illegal U-turn in front of her. Her car then crashed into the parked van owned by the plaintiff.

At the time, Lohan's rep said the paparazzi were chasing her. Some witnesses say she was just goofing and speeding. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department issued a statement saying, "Preliminary investigations have revealed that paparazzi were not a factor in the traffic collision..."

If Lohan was driving recklessly, she could be responsible for hitting the van, despite the U-turn that triggered the crash.

Grandeur, Inc., the owner of the van that was struck, filed suit on May 18 in Beverly Hills Small Claims Court for $3,624.84. The case is pending.

Florian Loeckle, the CEO of the company that owns the van, told TMZ before filing suit, he sent Lohan a letter asking her to pay his repair bill, but got no response. Loeckle added, "Apparently, in Los Angeles, if you're a celebrity you can do this stuff without getting in trouble."
A rep for Lohan had no comment.

ANNA NICOLE SMITH's step-brother, LARRY DALE HART is doing hard time in a Texas prison for aggravated assault, one of several cases against him -- with one that includes sexual assault.

In an exclusive interview with Anna Nicole before she passed away in February, a visibly upset and angered Anna claims there was rape in her past: "You wanna hear my child life? The rape?" she tells ET, trembling with rage.

Now, ET special correspondent ART HARRIS asks Hart the point-blank question: "Did you rape your sister?"

"No! Never," replies Hart from behind bars. "I've never even heard that before. I don't think she's said that. I don't think so. That's a shock to me. I've never heard that before."

Harris questions the response, given the inmate's past, which includes pleading guilty to one count of sexual assault -- for allegedly raping a 38-year-old woman in 1998. Hart claims the woman accused him to get even for breaking up with her and tossing out her pills, but he still plead guilty. In response to Harris, he insists he's telling the truth.

"That's just the furthest thing from our relationships growing up," says Hart. "I think that's a bunch of malarkey."

"If [my step-mother, VIRGIE ARTHUR,] knew about that, believe me, she'd have shot me," he adds. "That right there would have proved it. Virgie would have shot me if she had thought something like that [had happened]. I would be a dead man."

Hart says the last time he saw or spoke to Anna was back in either 1996 or 1997: "The last memory that I have with her is buying tennis shoes for her," he recalls.

When asked what he would say if he could talk to Anna right before she died, he offers, "That I love her, and I wish that I could help her get her life right, you know? Because I'm more of a counselor with other people -- I can help other people with their problems more than I can help with mine."

PARIS HILTON received two visitors Sunday at the Twin Towers jail in downtown L.A. where she is being held.

Her younger sister, NICKY, visited the jail with Paris' ex, STAVROS NIARCHOS III, two days after Paris was ordered back behind bars after serving one day of house arrest.
Meanwhile, "The View" co-host BARBARA WALTERS revealed that Paris called her collect yesterday and the heiress told her she was not eating or sleeping and that she had not been on antidepressants.

She also told the newswoman that she used to act dumb but that act is no longer cute and it's not who she really is. She wants to be someone for young girls to look up to. She also says she has become much more spiritual and believes God has given her a new chance.

It's also been confirmed that Paris will not file an appeal saying in a statement:
"Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge's decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff's concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge ... I must also say that I was shocked to see all of the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world."

Last Thursday L.A. County Sheriff Spokesperson STEVE WHITMORE told reporters that due to "medical issues," the heiress had been "reassigned" to house arrest and ordered to wear an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet, but on Friday, Paris was back in court and ordered to complete her original 45-day sentence behind bars -- which prompted a dramatic reaction from the socialite, who wept and screamed out for her mother, "Mom! Mom! No! It's not right!"

Paris' parents, KATHY and RICK HILTON, were present in court, as was little sister Nicky, who showed no emotion throughout the swift proceedings.

L.A. City Attorney ROCKY DELGADILLO, who filed a motion Thursday asking the judge in Paris' case to return her behind bars to serve out her full sentence, released this statement after the judgment: "This decision sends the message that no individual -- no matter how wealthy or powerful -- is above the law. Today, justice was served."

Delgadillo was asking Judge Sauer to hold a hearing to determine why the Sheriff's Department should not be held in contempt of court for violating the judge's court order, having made Paris "leave on electronic monitoring," when the order specifically included the edict, "no electronic monitoring."

In a press conference Friday afternoon, Sheriff LEE BACA defended his department's actions and declared Paris to be "a low-level offender." As for any preferential treatment, he says her early release was "based on her severe medical problems" and that she went to the correctional treatment center once she returned to jail. Baca refused to elaborate on Hilton's medical condition, but he did say that he felt "we need a mental health court judge ... to deal with cases just like this."

Sources close to the Hilton family tell ET the medical reason was actually an extreme rash she developed on her body. Other reports are claiming that the socialite almost had a nervous breakdown and that was the reason behind her release.

Delgadillo also called the medical condition explanation for releasing Paris "puzzling," adding that "Los Angeles County Jail medical facilities are well-equipped to deal with medical situations involving inmates."

"I have directed my criminal branch to immediately explore all possible legal options to ensure that the law is being applied equally and justly in this case," he said. "If law enforcement officials are to enjoy the respect of those we are charged with protecting, we cannot tolerate a two-tiered jail system where the rich and powerful receive special treatment. We must ensure that in our city, in our nation, and under our Constitution, justice remains blind."

The celebutante began her sentence at Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, CA, on June 3.

Paris Released From Jail - Reassigned to House Arrest

She's free! After serving just three days of hard time, Paris Hilton has already been released from L.A. County Jail. The hotel heiress was initially sentenced to 45 days in prison, which was then reduced to 23 days. But after just three days, Paris was released early Thursday morning and reassigned to 40 days house arrest.

A preexisting medical condition was a major factor in the decision, according to the Sheriff's department.

She's not the first celebrity to get out of jail early. Former "Lost" star Michelle Rodriguez was released from prison after just 4 hours in 2006 although she was sentenced to 60 days on a DUI charge.

But even before her early release there were questions about whether Paris was receiving special treatment inside the jail.On Wednesday, her psychiatrist, Dr. Charles Sophy, was back at the Los Angeles jail where Paris is being held and spent two hours there.

The New York Daily News says Sophy's presence is a sign that Paris may be "stir crazy." And according to the New York Post, Paris was "bawling inside." The Post quotes one just-released inmate as saying Paris looks "strung out" and "depressed."

tmz.com claims inmates have taken to chanting Paris's name. The site also says that Hilton has been crying on the phone, and that her cell is so cold she can't sleep.

Two men walked into the jail, trying to deliver a dozen red roses and a fruit basket for Paris.
The roses had a card reading, "I hope you're okay. Call me when you can." It gave a London phone number, but no name. The card on the fruit basket read, "Don't feel down. Remember: You're Paris Hilton" and it was also unsigned.

But five minutes after the delivery guys disappeared inside the jail, they were back out, Paris's gifts still in hand. They said the jail is not accepting deliveries for anyone.

Outrage Over Paris' Early Release

There's growing shock and outrage over Paris Hilton's early release from jail. The hotel heiress is now back in her palatial home - reassigned to house arrest after just 75 hours behind bars. The Sheriff's department announced that Paris will be fitted with an ankle bracelet and confined to her home for the next 40 days. The celebutant was supposed to serve 23 days behind bars.
So why was Paris freed? The sheriff's department says medical considerations contributed to the decision.

There are reports Paris was released after she developed a rash. Others report she was so shaken by her stay in jail she was in peril of suffering a nervous breakdown. Paris's mother Kathy Hilton was photographed rushing to her daughter's house holding a hot water bottle.
Leroy Baca, sheriff of L.A. County for 9 years, is coming under fire for Paris's release. He was the one who ultimately decided to let Hilton go home after consulting with the judge who sentenced her. Now Baca is under attack for allegedly giving preferential treatment to celebrities.

Paris was released in the dead of night at 2:09 am. America woke up to the shocking news and quickly a sense of fury and disbelief spread across the country.

The media is swarming outside Paris Hilton's mansion in the Hollywood Hills. The house is far cry from the jail where she spent the past few days.

Paris's new prison is her Spanish Tuscan style mansion high in the Hollywood hills, estimated to be worth $3 million dollars. And it's a whole lot larger than the 96 square foot cell inside the jail. Paris' will be confined to her comfortable bedroom and lush backyard.

Cops will monitor Paris will with an ankle bracelet just like the ones famously worn by Martha Stewart and former "Lost" actress Michelle Rodriguez. But as part of the deal to free her early, she must serve 40 days of house arrest. To many, that seems like a case of the privileged rich getting special treatment.

The following is a statement released by the Probation Department in Los Angeles:

"Paris Hilton was granted a conditional sentence in Los Angeles Metro Superior Court on January 22, 2007. A conditional sentence or "summary probation" is monitored by the court for compliance unless the court orders formal probation. Although not on formal probation, Ms. Hilton is supervised by the Los Angeles County probation department in regards to electronic monitoring.Electronic Monitoring is an integral part of community-based alternatives to custody.

The Electronic Monitoring (EM) program is available to Los Angeles County Courts as an alternative to custody in accordance with penal code. The probation department contracts with a private vendor to provide electronic monitoring services. Eligible post-sentence inmates are screened for eligibility or it may be court-ordered either prior to conviction as a pretrial release or after conviction as a sentence option. Paris Hilton applied for the community based alternative to custody program and qualified as low-risk but the department did not recommend Electronic Monitoring because the court order specified ''no Electronic Monitoring.' The Sheriff Department exercised the authority to reassign Ms. Hilton to an Electronic Monitoring sentence."

What started as her grandmother's premonition became a reality for Riyo Mori on May 28th, 2007. At the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, the Japanese beauty was crowned Miss Universe 2007 at the age of 20.
A self-described "modern-day female samurai," Riyo prides herself on having a great sense of independence and self, "the traditional samurai spirit prizes composure, patience and a sense of justice. It is someone who fearlessly faces challenges with a strong will." Riyo definitely embodies an independent woman. By the age of 16, she left her home in Shizuoka, Japan to study abroad in Canada, eventually reaching New York at 19 years old. Through her travels and studies, Riyo has been able to master adapting to different environments, the importance of learning foreign languages and the need for intercultural understanding. When her host guardian in Canada was suffering from hearing loss, Riyo learned American Sign Language to communicate. This experience eventually led her to volunteer with Deaf children, working on art activities.
A dancer and performer since the age of four, Riyo has spent most of her life focused on her craft. Her mother runs a dance school in their hometown, where Riyo first discovered her passion. She was literally surrounded by dance, where classes were held on the bottom level of their house. It wasn't long before she was traveling the world in pursuit of her career. Riyo studied at the Quinte Ballet School of Canada, the Radio City Rockettes' Summer Intensive and was also accepted to the Broadway Dance Center in New York, but ultimately turned down the offer when she realized she made it to the finals of Miss Japan. "Everything was prepared; I even had an apartment in New York. But having the chance to become Miss Universe was beyond any dream. I had to do it."
With the title of Miss Universe now under her belt, Riyo is as determined as ever. She aspires to become the first Japanese Radio City Rockette and will eventually open an international dance school in Tokyo, Japan. "My mother taught me that women can have it all. You donít have to choose between having a family or career, you can do both." Days after her on-air smack down with Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Rosie O'Donnell announced she will not be returning to "The View."

ABC says Rosie asked for an early leave from the show, almost a month before she was scheduled to depart the chat fest on June 22nd.

In a statement Rosie says she was grateful for her time on the show "It's been an amazing year and I love all three women.

Barbara Walters issue a statement saying, "Rosie contributed to one of our most exciting and successful years at "The View." I am most appreciative. Our close and affectionate relationship will not change."

The news comes as the battle between Rosie and Elisabeth is getting downright ugly. It's being reported that Rosie's chief writer Janette Barber, who often appears in videos posted on Rosie's blog, defaced photos of Elisabeth that hang in the view studios.

The New York Post reports allegations that Barber was caught drawing mustaches on Elisabeth's headshots and was promptly escorted out of the ABC facility on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

Barber, a standup comic and motivational speaker, is a long time friend of Rosie's. She worked as head writer and supervising producer of the old Rosie O'Donnell show.

As for the mustache-drawing incident, an ABC spokesperson told INSIDE EDITION, "Photographs at The View's offices were defaced today. Rosie O'Donnell was not in the building. ABC Legal and Human Resources are investigating the matter."

Rosie took Thursday off to celebrate her wife Kelli's 40th birthday. Meanwhile Rosie is receiving support from former "View" co-host Debbie Matenopoulos, who was famously fired from the show in 1999. "I said no that's not what Rosie insinuated," Matenopoulos told INSIDE EDITION.

Paris Hilton arrived at the Los Angeles County Jail to start her term behind bars, and she pulled up in her Cadillac escalade driven by her mother, Paris appeared to be crying.

Booking documents obtained by INSIDE EDITION show Paris was given an inmate number and weighed in at 115 pounds. Her release date is listed as June 26th. She was assigned a cell at 3:06 am.

Just hours earlier Paris caused a sensation walking the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards where she told reporters, "I'm ready to face my sentence," and said, "Even though this is a really hard time I have my friends and family and fans who support me in this very scary time."
She also said she had the option of going to a "pay jail," but chose not to. "The media portrays me in a way that I'm not, and I wanted to show that I could do it and be treated like everyone else," she said. "I'm going to do the time and do it the right way."

Paris is going to be kept away from most other prisoners during her term. She will not have a cellmate and she'll be allowed out of her cell for just an hour a day for exercise. INSIDE EDITION was told that she has been calm and co-operative on her first day behind bars.

Paris Hilton is in jail. The now sitting in the slammer hotel heiress surrendered herself to authorities late last night to begin her 23 day jail sentence. And she still managed to strike a pose for her mugshot.

Paris managed to avoid most of the paparazzi waiting to get a pic of her doing the walk on shame into jail by hitting the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards for her last photo-op sans orange jumpsuit and then heading to her parents house before being taken by her lawyer to lock-up.

It didn’t go down at the jail. Paris’ mega-lawyer, Richard Hutton, picked her up at her parents’ house at 10:30 PM. Hilton, Hutton, mom Kathy and sister Nicky then drove to the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles — commonly referred to as the Twin Towers — where Paris officially surrendered to the L.A. County Sheriff to begin her 23-day sentence.

The Sheriff devised the plan of surrendering miles away from the actual site where Paris will be doing time because the crush of paparazzi at the jail created a potential safety hazard.

Paris was then driven to the jail in Lynwood, where she is now serving her sentence.

Paris’ lawyer then released this statement from the locked up celebutante to TMZ:

Paris’ lawyer just released a statement to TMZ from Hilton: “I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks, I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes.”

Hilton added, “This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence.”

So Paris is finally paying her debt to society. Personally, I’d rather get a check, but that’s just me.

In a press conference this afternoon about the arrest of Lindsay Lohan, cops say they found a “usable amount” of a drug at the scene, which they say was cocaine. Lt. Mitch McCann of the Beverly Hills Police Department would not say where the drug was found, but it was “not on her person.”

Police tell TMZ that 20-year-old Lohan and two other adults were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 convertible when she lost control and crashed into a curb and trees in Beverly Hills around 5:30 AM. After the crash, police say LiLo got into another car and was driven to Century City Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries that involved “something to her upper chest area.” Police said the two other people in her car were not hurt.

So Linds was driving drunk/high/both when she jumped a curb, took out some trees and bushes, then she leaves the scene and goes to a hospital (for what sounds like a bruised boob). Then the cops find her, arrest her, and let her go. And let me remind you, she still isn’t legal to drink.

What are the chances you or I could have gotten away with a bruised boob excuse? Unlikely. If it had been me, I would already be sitting in a cell on a steel bench squeezed between Big Bertha the nasty drunk and Lemonjella the crackhead prostitute.

Day After Feud, Rosie Absent from "The View"

It was a much milder morning on "The View" the day after Rosie O'Donnell and Elisabeth's Hasselbeck's all-out blow out battle. Rosie took the day off to celebrate her wife Kelli's 40th birthday.
"The View" was pre-empted on much of the east coast for President Bush's press conference on Iraq, but the show did go on, and Barbara Walters said peace had been declared after the heated debate.

But despite Walter's declarations, some are wondering if Rosie, who is leaving the show next month, will be making an early departure after the fight

Meanwhile, INSIDE EDITION caught up with Rosie's nemesis, Donald Trump, who had some surprising criticism for Elisabeth, who referenced him as "obnoxious" while feuding with Rosie.
"Well Elisabeth's right I am very obnoxious," Trump told INSIDE EDITION. "The sad part about Elisabeth is that she is the dumbest person on television. I mean she's supporting the war in Iraq, which is pretty hard to do."

But there's no chance that Trump's criticism of Elisabeth means he is turning into a Rosie fan. He had a message for Rosie's partner Kelli on her 40th birthday. "Kelli I'm so sorry you have to celebrate your birthday with Rosie," Trump said, adding, "You poor thing."

Britney Storms Off Leather-less Plane

Britney Spears hit several snags as she continued her comeback tour in Florida, starting with her plane ride.

The pop star made a last minute exit from a United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Orlando, reportedly delaying the flight an hour when she demanded to be let off. Britney was bothered that the plane's seats were not made of leather.

According to one report, an outraged passenger said "The doors had been closed for about ten minutes, everyone was strapped in and the plane was about to taxi to the runway when Britney got up and said she had to get off. "

But the star found more suitable transportation arriving in Orlando on a private plane. Then there was a music mishap when Britney took the stage in front of a sold out crowd at the House of Blues in Orlando. While lip-synching some of her classic songs, the CD skipped forcing Britney to turn away from the audience to get back on track.

The incident prompted boos from the crowd, but Britney shook it off before her next stop in Miami.

Brangelina mania hit Cannes, as the glamorous pair arrived at the premiere of their new movie, "A Mighty Heart."

Earlier the couple popped up for a press conference to promote the movie. The couple sat apart, but their adorable kids were never far from their thoughts. "We've been playing with our children since we got here, and we plan to go home and do that," Angelina said.
There's already Oscar buzz around Angelina's performance as Marianne Pearl, the widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. Marianne was pregnant at the time of her husband's murder, and an emotional Angelina opened up about expecting baby Shiloh when she began work on the movie.

"I remember being pregnant and thinking about what it would be like not to have the father with me," she said.

Another film everyone seemed to be talking about at Cannes is Michael Moore's new documentary, "Sicko."

The film attacks the American health care system and won critical praise after the screening. This comes just as the U.S. government launches an inquiry into whether Moore broke a travel embargo on Cuba when he brought 9/11 rescue workers there during filming.

Leonardo Dicaprio was in Cannes to premiere his documentary about the environment, "The 11th Hour," but the actor got testy at a press conference when a journalist questioned his commitment to protecting the environment, asking the actor if he took a plane or a train to Cannes.

But it was director Roman Polanski of all people who created the most drama in the festival's first days. Onstage with around 30 other major directors, the Oscar winner lashed out at reporters calling their questions "poor," and abruptly storming out of the press conference saying, "let's go eat."
